For a Safer City

A Safer Wolverhampton starts with Stronger Communities. Tackling anti-social behaviour means creating real opportunities and building stronger links between neighbours, schools, local groups and Civic Hall I will push for properly funded schools and youth services that give young people positive paths to follow, such as The Way - and for more support to community centres, churches and local organisations that already play a vital role in our city. Cleaner streets and a visible, collective effort to tackle fly-tipping and neglection of our public spaces will help restore pride in our neighbourhoods, and by investing in our people and places we can reduce anti-social behaviour, strengthen trust and create a city where everyone feels secure and connected.

For a Livelier City

My plan will reignite Wolverhampton’s profile and restore its reputation as a thriving shopping and leisure destination. I will launch a bold Shop Wolverhampton campaign to encourage residents to back our own businesses, expanding the City Centre Gift Card to cover markets and independents. I will fight to cut red tape so small businesses can access grants more easily, open up more creative spaces like IGNITE, and make sure the council buys local first - I will push for a free return bus journey every fortnight, so everyone has the chance to enjoy the city centre without worrying about cost or parking. Together, these changes will boost our economy, support our small businesses, and bring energy and life back to our city.

For a Proud City

Wolverhampton has been my home for my entire life. I've seen amazing events come to our city, the Olympic Torch in 2012, Wolves lifting the Championship in 2018 and then bringing European football to our city - and then the Commonwealth Games in 2022. I will always advocate for our city to be showcased on the national and global stage; we should not be demoted to B-Tier status - we are a proud city that deserves to have events of this calibre, and I will always have our corner in this fight.

For an Innovative City

Wolverhampton’s future depends on how well we support the next generation - I will push for properly funded schools that give every child the tools to succeed and end the reliance on temporary classrooms. Children with special educational needs deserve better, we must tackle the SEN crisis with more resources, better trained staff, and specialist support so no child is left behind. Our colleges and sixth forms should be linked to local employers, who should be encouraged to have a stronger presence in the community - giving young people the skills they need for good jobs here in the city, not elsewhere. Investment in apprenticeships, technical training, and digital skills will help our city lead in new industries, such as AI - and by backing our schools, colleges, and training providers, we can build a properly innovative city where every child has the opportunity to reach their potential.

For a Sanctuary City

Wolverhampton is strongest when we stand together. I will tackle the root causes of the problems that face us, such as poverty, underfunded schools, and lack of opportunity, rather than allowing fear or prejudice to divide us. I will completely support policies that promote inclusion and equality in our city, including increased support for community organisations, funding for youth and mentorship programmes, and initiatives that celebrate the city’s diversity. I will actively support LGBTQ+ rights in the face of prejudice and events that bring our communities together, such as our proud tradition of celebrating Diwali, ensuring Wolverhampton remains a welcoming city for everyone. By investing in people, not blaming communities, we can reduce tension, build trust, and create a city where everyone feels safe, valued, and proud to call home.

For an Accessible City

Getting around Wolverhampton should be simple, affordable, and safe. I will push for reliable bus services with better routes and more frequent schedules. University students and residents over 60 will get free travel, as well as those seeking employment - making education, work, and leisure accessible for all, and making it easier for people to gain employment. I will push for the speedier expansion of the Metro to the i54 and New Cross, giving communities direct access to the Black Country and Birmingham. I will support the phased pedestrianisation of the entire Wolverhampton city centre to make it safer, cleaner, and more welcoming. Investment in safer cycling lanes, pedestrian-friendly streets, and well-maintained routes will provide real alternatives to driving - by improving public transport and active travel, we can make Wolverhampton a city where people can move freely, save money, and access opportunities no matter where they live.
